Portland, Ore. - The University of Providence men's soccer team had a huge day on Friday, scoring 12 goals en route to a 12-1 victory over Multnomah.
Alain Murhula scored a hat trick, Leo Alamedia and
Fernando Gutierrez scored twice to lead the Argos (6-3, 8-3-1).
Ole Cloppenburg,
Carlos Heredia,
George Holloway,
Colin McKenzie and William Velasquez also got on the board for the Argos. Manuel Garcia led the Argos with three assists, while Gutierrez, Murhula,
Alex Williams and
Dylan Bird also assisted a goal.
"We did what was expected," head coach
Matt Ball said. "We got some of our forwards a bit of confidence which will hopefully help."
The Argos will next take on Warner Pacific on Saturday at 7 p.m.
