BOZEMAN, Mont. – No. 11 University of Providence men's hockey trailed 3-0 after the opening period and could never get a comeback going as the No. 9 Montana State Bobcats gave the Argos a 4-2 loss on Saturday in Bozeman.
Cody Hendrickson and
Trevor Daly led the Argos with a score a piece.
The Bobcats held the Argos scoreless over the opening 20 minutes as they took a 3-0 win into the first intermission.
The second period was quite on both ends as the game remained 3-0 headed into the final period.
The Argos got things going during the third period as Hendrickson netted the Argos first goal during a 5-3 power play to cut the deficit to two, 3-1.
The Bobcats responded with another goal to extend their lead back to three, 4-1.
The Argos would cut the lead back to two following a goal from Daly with three minutes to play, 4-2, however it wasn't enough as the Argos would eventually take the defeat.
