Argos set more personal bests

Providence men and women compete at MSU-Billings

Billings, Mont. - Freshman Mekenzie Clark ran another personal best, Reilly Wilson and Olivia Nygreen were a second apart and the Providence women's cross-country team finished sixth Friday at the MSU-Billings Yellowjacket Invitational. Clark finished 28th out of 52 runners with a time of 20:27.6, Wilson ran the 5K course in 21:03.2, with Nygreen clocking in at 21:04.3. In addtion to those three, another freshman in Emily Crago was 22:01.8 and Isabella Lane crossed in 23:15.6. Rocky standout Sydney Little Light was first overall in 16:58.1.  

On the men's side, Nash Grafe once again led the Argos across the 8K finish line with a time of 26:48.5. Jon Johansen crossed the finish line in 30:55.7, Noah Aparacio finished in 31:25.1, and Christian Buhler came in at 34:47.1. Rocky's Jackson Wilson claimed first with a time of 24:44.2, 1.7 seconds ahead of second.  

Providence Head Coach Tony Arntson likes the way his teams ran once again, "Very solid day for the women's team. All five competed very well with Mekenzie Clark running her fastest time of the year. Nash Grafe had a tremendous day as well. We are getting better every meet. All the guys competed hard." 

The Argos have two weeks off until running at MSU-Northern October 21st.
