GREAT FALLS, Mont. – Senior Vincent Stoppel and sophomore Martyna Fiedler have been named the 2024-2025 UP Strength and Conditioning Athletes of the Month for September. Head strength and conditioning coach Lucky Lovan can nominate one athlete per sport to be a National Strength and Conditioning Association All-American each year.

The University of Providence nominates two athletes per month to reward the student-athletes hard work and dedication to the weight room. This puts them in contention to be named a NSCA strength and conditioning All-American.

Stoppel is from Braunschweig, Germany and is finishing his fourth season with the soccer program at UP. Lovan stated, "Vincent takes his physical preparation seriously. He's a true pro when it comes to taking care of his body. Not many people his age are willing to spend the time and dedication to be in top shape. The weight room has become a second home for him. I'm very impressed with how much he improved his max strength and power in the off-season. It's very apparent how much quicker and more dominant he is compared to the other players on the field."

Fiedler is from Poznan, Poland and is currently in her second season with the volleyball team at UP. Lovan stated, "It has been such a joy watching Martyna grow and better herself in the weight room. She went from a timid freshman who never touched a weight to an experienced, outgoing lifter. Her Olympic lifts have dramatically improved which has helped her performance on the volleyball court. She's a dominant force on the team and makes her presence felt when she's playing. I'm so proud to be her coach and excited to see her continue to succeed at UP."
