GREAT FALLS, Mont. – Montana State Hockey scored nine-goals to defeat the Argos in their second matchup of the weekend on Saturday evening, 9-1.
The Bobcats tallied two goals in the opening period, both coming in the at the 3:49 and 3:07 marks to carry a 2-0 advantage.
The Argos opened the second period with a goal from
Cody Hendrickson, which was assisted by
Kyler Mack and
Leo Felt at the 16:20 mark to cut the deficit to one, 2-1.
However, the Bobcats tallied four goals of their own in the second period to push their lead to 6-1.
Three more Bobcat goals in the third period sealed the 9-1 win for Montana State.
The Argos will return to the ice to host Utah State University on November 3.
