Great Falls, Mont. - The University of Providence men's hockey team defeated Weber State University 2-1 on Saturday night.
The Argos were split at a goal a piece for a majority of the match with the Wildcats until the
Cooper Page scored off the assist from
Leo Felt midway through the third period.
"I thought this was our most complete 60 minutes," head coach
Jeff Heimel said. "Though we had few lapses, we played solid for a majority of the time. I was really pleased with the performance, despite how close the game was."
Page also had an assist for the Argos, dropping a dime to
Taylor McCall in the first period.
The Argos will travel to Minot State this next week, attempting to avenge two losses they suffered at the hands of the Beavers a week ago.
"The last time we played them we were right there with them," Heimel said. "I'm excited to get another crack at them. I believe we are right there."
