OREM, Utah. – The University of Providence men's hockey team cruised to a 11-0 shutout victory over Utah Valley in the first round of the Mountain West Conference Tournament Thursday evening.

"We played well," head coach Jeff Heimel said. "We did enough to win. I thought we were good tonight."

As the 2 seed, the Argos will play either #5 Weber State or #3 Montana State at 12:15 p.m. Friday afternoon.

"The best part about our team is that we've been able to put big wins and losses aside," Heimel said. "These guys knows what's at stake. That part has been pretty clear. I think we'll be ready to go."
