Argos Fall to Weber State

OGDEN, Utah. – The University of Providence hockey program fell 3-2 to Weber State Thursday night.

The Wildcats scored the opening goal of the contest one minute into the game when a Weber State attacker shoved a rolling puck into the back of the net.

UP had a few chances throughout the period but were unable to capitalize as they went into the second period down 1-0.

The Wildcats extended their lead to three scoring two goals in the first half of the second period, but the Argos would answer with goals from juniors Adam Husli and Colby Friedrich to bring the game within one.

The Argos went into the final period trailing 3-2, and despite a few chances late in the third, the Argos fell to Weber State 3-2.

The Argos will be back in action Friday, Oct. 4 when they travel to Logan, Utah. Puck drop is scheduled for 7:00 p.m. versus Utah State.
