LOGAN, Utah. – The University of Providence hockey program fell 5-3 to Utah State Friday night.
The Argos (3-2) scored the first goal of the contest when freshman
Fabian Vik found freshman
Darnell Glasgo who beat the goalkeeper to put UP ahead 1-0.
The Aggies would respond scoring a goal a minute later, and with 30 seconds left in the period Utah State extended their lead to two heading into the break.
UP opened the scoring in the second period when freshman
Kaden Bolter found junior
Adam Husli whose wrist shot found the back of the net to tie the game at two.
The Aggies would retake the lead midway through the period, but at the six-minute mark Husli scored his second goal of the game to keep the game tied at three.
Utah State scored two goals the rest of the way, and despite a few chances for the Argos, UP fell to the Aggies 5-3.
The Argos will be back in action Saturday, Oct. 5 when they travel to Salt Lake City, Utah. Puck drop is scheduled for 4:30 p.m. versus the University of Utah.
