PARK CITY, Kan. – The University of Providence men's wrestling program competed at the NAIA National Tournament throughout the day Friday.
Senior
KC Buday was the highlight for the Argos advancing to the semifinals by defeating Hunter DeJong by sudden victory 4-1. By advancing to the semifinals Buday secured his third straight All-American honor. Buday will wrestle Joshua Issac tomorrow for a trip to the third-place match.
Abel Nava Jr. also secured his All-American status Friday going 3-0 in the consolation bracket defeating Tre Morisette 5-3, Cory Cannon 4-1, and Maximus Zomora 1-0. Nava Jr. will wrestle Michael Scarponi tomorrow for a trip to the third-place match.
The Argos will be back in action tomorrow for the final day at the NAIA National Tournament. Wrestlers will begin at 10 a.m. (MST) in Hartman Arena.
