GREAT FALLS, Mont. – The University of Providence hockey program fell to Montana State 11-3 Saturday night.
The Argos (3-5) scored the first goal of the game one minute in when senior

Fabian Vik on an odd man rush and Vik buried his wrist shot to give UP a 1-0 lead.
The Bobcats (9-3) answered with three goals in two minutes midway through the period and would continue their momentum adding another with four minutes left in the first to go ahead 4-1.
Neither side threatened over the last few minutes of the period as the Argos went into the break trailing 4-1.
Montana State scored another pair of goals 30 seconds apart to begin the second period, but sophomore
Jamal Shaw answered with a pair of goals of his own a minute apart to cut the deficit to 6-3.
The Bobcats added a short-handed goal with just under three minutes left in the period, and neither side threatened the rest of the second as UP went into the break trailing 7-3.
Montana State scored four goals in the third period, and despite a few late shots from the Argos, UP fell to Montana State 11-3.
The Argos will be back in action on Thursday, oct. 30 when they head to Ogden, Utah. Puck drop is scheduled for 7:15 p.m. versus Weber State. Â Â Â
