OGDEN, Utah – The University of Providence hockey program fell to the University of Utah 6-3 Friday afternoon.
The Utes scored the first two goals of the game in the first 10 minutes, and despite a few late chances for the Argos (3-6-1), UP went into the break trailing by two.
The Argos got on the board to start the second period when sophomore
Darnell Glasgo corralled the loose puck in front of the net and pushed it past the goalkeeper to cut the Utes lead in half.
Utah quickly answered to extend the lead by to two, but a minute later senior
Adam Husli skated around the Utes defenders and his wrist shot went top corner to cut the lead back to one.
The Utes added two more goals in the third period, and despite a late goal from sophomore
Jamal Shaw, the Argos fell to the University of Utah 6-3.
The Argos will be back in action on Saturday, Nov. 1 when they head to Logan, Utah. Puck drop is scheduled for 7:00 p.m. against Utah State. Â Â Â
