GREAT FALLS, Mont. – The University of Providence golf programs wrapped up the Argo Invitational with their final round on Tuesday afternoon.

The Argos narrowly finished in fourth place as a team behind Carroll College by two shots. Junior Dutch Teders was the highlight for the Argos finishing in fourth place after his final round of 76.

Sophomore Angelo Badalow was the other lone Argo with a score in the 70s shooting a 78 in his final round to finish in 15th, and sophomore Richard Starzyk and senior Adam Husli shot an 80 on Tuesday.

The women also had two athletes compete on Tuesday in junior Zoie Ceartin who improved by 15 shots with an 84 and senior Ainsley Thurber wrapped up her first collegiate competition with a 106.

Head coach Reece Zeigler on the team's opening tournament stated, "I'm proud of how our team opened the season this week at the Argo Invite. Being our first event, it was a great opportunity to shake off the rust, compete under pressure, and get a sense of where we stand. There were definitely some bright spots—Dutch Teders, Riley Basta, Owen Lutes and Angelo Badalow—and we saw glimpses of the potential this group has. I'm confident in this team's work ethic and competitiveness, and we're excited to keep building as we move into the rest of the fall season."
