GREAT FALLS, Mont. – The University of Providence men's wrestling team heads Cedar Falls, Iowa for the NWCA National Duals on Jan. 9-10. The Argos will wrestle #5 Southern Oregon on Friday in the Round of 16 at 9:00 a.m. (MST).
 
Last Time Out
The Argos went 2-2 at the Fire Duals defeating Keiser University 36-12, Rochester Christian 49-6, and fell to #3 Indiana Tech and #4 Southeastern University.  

Rankings
The Argos were ranked #10 in the latest NAIA Top 25 poll with 10 individual wrestlers ranked in the top 25 of their respective weight classes in #1 Pig Hobbs (157), #3 Sawyer Hobbs (184), #7 Brendan Lockart (197), #10 Ethan DeRoche (285), #11 Kobi Johnson (125), #19 Irish Furthmyre (157), #20 Cade White (149), #21 Brady Ellison (174), #22 Jalen Vladic (165), and #23 Blaze Sumiye (165).
 
National Duals
The National Dual Meet Championships take place at the Uni-Dome in Cedar Falls, Iowa, on January 9-10. The teams that finish in the top 16 at the previous year's NAIA National Championships are invited to compete for a National Dual Meet Championship. After the top eight teams are seeded, the remaining eight are drawn in to create a 16-team double-elimination bracket. With the #10 ranking the Argos were drawn to face #5 Southern Oregon in the first round on Friday, Jan. 9.
 
#5 Southern Oregon
The Raiders were ranked #5 in the latest NAIA Top 25 Poll and have 12 wrestlers ranked in the top 25 of their respective weight classes in #2 Asher Ruchti (197), #5 Kyle Sieminski (125), #8 Adrian Chavez-Morales (184), #8 Isaac Hampton (125), #11 Kolton Malone (149), #11 Dylan Straley (157), #12 Vonn Fenn (133), #12 Braylin Ruchti (174), #13 Avant Stepherson (157), #13 Elias Corona (197), #17 Cole Zoller (165), and #18 Jackson Potts (174). The Argos are 5-5 in their last 10 matchups versus Southern Oregon but 1-0 at National Duals defeating the Raiders 24-16 in 2025.
