GREAT FALLS, Mont. – The University of Providence men's wrestling program defeated Arizona Christian 21-13 Saturday afternoon.
The Argos fell at 125 to begin the dual but at 133 #10
Kobi Johnson bumped up a weight class and defeated #5 Jason Ramirez to tie the match at three.
Following losses at 141 and 149, the Argos got back on track with #7
Pig Hobbs defeating Kadrick Lewallen 17-0 and
Blaze Sumiye defeated Nico Pina 4-3 to bring UP within one. Â
The Argos would drop the match at 174, but junior
Noah Poe-Hatten picked up a major decision, sophomore
Spencer Johnson won via decision, and #7
Ethan DeRoche secured the 21-13 dual victory defeating Kaiden Cisneros 5-4.
The Argos will be back in action on Feb. 20-21 when they head to Salem, Ore. for the Cascade Collegiate Conference Championships.
