AS AN ARGO – 2014-15: In his first year with the program.

BEFORE UGF: Competed for the College of Southern Idaho prior to transferring to UGF… Earned three letters while competing for the Minico (Rupert, Idaho) High Spartans… Also played soccer and football, and powerlifted in high school… Holds school records for highest bench and power clean for a wrestler… Won the 2012 Idaho Class 4A 220-pound state title… Team won the conference championship and finished fourth at state.

PERSONAL: Majoring in Majoring in computer science… Enjoys weightlifting, CrossFit and MMA… Favorite athlete is Cain Velasquez… Favorite food is lasagna… Favorite movie is Warrior… Son of Jose and Margarita… Brother of Kenya and Irene… Born Joseph Luis Valence on Oct. 13, 1993 in Rupert, Idaho.
