Mingo was the head coach of the Yellowstone Quake in the NA3HL for the 2024-2025 season and prior to his time with the Quakes assisted with the development of practice plans and pre-scout videos for the Fort Wayne Komets. Prior to his time in Fort Wayne, Mingo was a player advisor for Rule1 Sports and founded the Mingo Hockey camp to help showcase, grow, and guide young talent ages 8-14. Mingo also spent time as the Youth Hockey Director for Community First Igloo where he coached private lessons, adult and youth classes, and coached the 14U, 12U, 10U, and 8U travel teams. As a player, Mingo graduated from Bowling Green State University where he was the BGSU Rookie of the Year in 2012. Following graduation, Mingo played 379 games in eight years in the ECHL for the Toledo Walleye, Kalamazoo Wings, Jacksonville Icemen, Cincinnati Cyclones, Adirondack Thunder, and the Reading Royals tallying 181 total points.
