Emilee Maldonado

Maldonado joined the University of Providence in 2023 where she was named the assistant women's basketball coach. In May of 2026, Maldonado was promoted to the Associate Head Coach.

During her playing career, Maldonado became one of the premier guards in the NAIA and the Frontier Conference. She earned NAIA All-America honors four times during her career, including Second Team All-America recognition in 2022. She was also named a WBCA All-American and became the first player in University of Providence women's basketball history to earn WBCA First Team All-America honors.

A dynamic scorer and playmaker, Maldonado helped lead the Argos to national prominence while earning numerous individual accolades. She was named the Frontier Conference Player of the Year and finished among the nation's leaders in shooting efficiency, ranking third nationally in free-throw percentage and fourth nationally in three-point percentage during her standout 2020-21 campaign.

Since transitioning to the sidelines, Maldonado has continued to impact the program she helped build as a student-athlete. As both a former All-American player and coach, Maldonado embodies the tradition of excellence that defines University of Providence women's basketball. Her commitment to developing student-athletes on the court, in the classroom, and within the community continues to help position the Argos among the top programs in the NAIA.
