Kailey Rees joined the University of Providence staff as the assistant women's wrestling coach in July of 2026 after an outstanding tenure as a student-athlete with the Argos women's wrestling program. A dedicated competitor and leader, Rees brings firsthand knowledge of the program's championship culture and a passion for developing the next generation of Argo wrestlers.
Originally from Colorado Springs, Colorado, Rees arrived at Providence following a decorated high school career at Freedom Orlando High School in Florida. She was a two-time Florida Girls State Champion, two-time district champion, two-time regional champion, and three-time Metro Champion. Rees also earned Super 32 runner-up honors and was named the inaugural Florida Dairy Farmers Miss Wrestling Award recipient, recognizing her as the top pound-for-pound female wrestler in the state.
During her collegiate career, Rees became a consistent contributor for one of the nation's premier NAIA women's wrestling programs. She qualified for the NAIA National Championships and earned national rankings while competing in the highly competitive 138-145-pound weight classes. Throughout her career, she recorded victories over nationally ranked opponents and played a key role in helping the Argos maintain their status among the NAIA's elite teams.
