University of Providence Athletics

Marco Retano joined the University of Providence in the spring of 2026 after serving as the Assistant Coach for the Eastern Oregon University men's and women's wrestling programs since 2023.

A former Mountaineer, Retano competed in wrestling for EOU, gaining firsthand experience as a student-athlete at the NAIA level. Retano earned his Bachelor of Arts in Physical Education and Sport as well as a Master of Arts in Teaching from Eastern Oregon University in La Grande, Oregon. He brings his passion for wrestling and athlete development to the University of Providence.
