GREAT FALLS, Mont. – University of Great Falls volleyball player Alyssa McEwan earned All-American honorable mention honors, the NAIA announced Monday.

In addition, five fellow Argonauts were named "Scholar-Athletes" by the NAIA. Those players were seniors Rachel Pauls, Brittany Sharpe and Page Woodward, and juniors Keva Robinson and Brocklynn Thornton.

In order to be nominated by an institution's head coach or sports information director, a student-athlete must maintain a minimum grade point average of 3.5 on a 4.0 scale and must have achieved a junior academic status.

Amy Weststeyn of Biola (Calf.) was named the NAIA Player of the Year. Rocky Mountain College's Yang Yang was the only Frontier Conference player to earn All-American honors. The senior middle hitter was named to the first team.
