Lady Argos to Start Frontier Tournament on Friday

GREAT FALLS, Mont. – Lady Argo volleyball will start its bit for a Frontier Conference Championship on Friday, November 13 in Helena, Mont. UGF enters the tournament as the fourth seed out of seven teams. They will face the five seed, Montana Tech at 2 p.m.

The two teams faced each other twice in the regular season, with both matches resulting in close UGF wins.

Montana Tech was ranked 20th in the nation back on October 3 when they traveled to Great Falls but the unranked Argos pulled a five-set upset. Madisen Wilhelm led UGF in that match with 28 kills.

When the two teams played again on October 24, UGF was much more in control. Senior Kelsee Montagna had 17 kills to lead the Lady Argos to a four-set victory.

Great Falls enters the tournament on a three-match win streak, which included a fifth set home win over the third seed, Lewis-Clark State College. That win streak allowed the team to finish the year with a winning record in conference play at 7-5 and an overall record of 25-9.
