MISSOULA, Mont. – No. T-18 Argo women's basketball fell to the Montana Lady Griz on Tuesday afternoon during School Day in Dahlberg Arena, 90-45.
Emilee Maldonado led the Argos with eight points and pulled down five boards.
Molly Schmitz flirted with a double-double as she knocked down seven points and grabbed eight boards.
Parker Esary also grabbed eight boards, while scoring four points in the loss.
The Lady Griz got out to a 10-0 lead to open the game, but the Argos responded with 10 of their own to even up the match. The Lady Griz would outscore the Argos 11-2 to close out the first with a nine-point lead, 21-12. The continued to find offensive success as they tacked on 24 to the Argos nine to take a 24-point lead into the break.
The third quarter was more evenly matched as Montana only outscored the Argos by five to push their lead to 63-34. Montana broke away in the final 10 minutes as they tallied 27, while the Argos only netted nine points to close out the 90-45 loss.
