GREAT FALLS, Mont. – University of Providence volleyball completed day two of the Big Sky Volleyball Challenge unbeaten to finish the tournament with a 3-1 record.
University of Providence 3 – Evergreen State 0
The Argos began the day against the Geoducks in dramatic fashion, downing them in straight sets (25-19,25-18,25-21).
During set one, the Argos started out with two straight points before battling and trading points until the Argos went on a four-point run to bring the score at 18-15 to make it 22-15 and seal the opening set.
The Geoducks opened the second set with an ace, but their lead didn't last long as a kill and an attack error put the Argos in the lead again, in which the Argos maintained the remainder of the match. Evergreen State brought the set down to two, 13-11, but a 6-1 run for Providence sealed the win to give the Argos the 2-0 advantage.
Evergreen State looked to bounce back and take a set in the third as they produced a 5-2 run to open up. The Geoducks maintained their lead until the Argos produced a five-point run of their own to take the game from 8-11 to 13-12. The Argos flexed their muscle as they maintained the advantage and put the final set away to capture the 3-0 victory.

University of Providence 3 – Multnomah 1
The Argos claimed their third and final win of the tournament against Multnomah in their tournament finale. The Argos claimed the first set, 25-18, but the Lions responded to tie things up after two, 21-25, but a dominate third set, 25-11, and an extra points final set, 30-28, sealed Providence the victory.
Multnomah led for the beginning of the third set, until Providence was sparked with a four-point run to push their lead to four, but it was short-lived as the Lions produced a run of their own to take the lead and then have a tie game at 12. Shortly after, the Argos found their groove and had a huge 10-2 run to put the game into set point and take the 1-0 lead.
The second set proved to be a different beast as a tied 12-12 set turned into a 12-18 deficit for the Argos. Multnomah was determined to hold back the Argo attack to carry their lead and tie the match at one all.
The third set proved to be similar to the previous sets as the Argos fell down early, but Providence dominated as they produced an incredible 11-0 run in the middle of the set to take a 6-7 deficit to a 17-7 advantage. The run proved to be the Lions end as they couldn't recover and fell 25-11 to put the Argos back on top.
The Lions commanded most of the final set as the Argos led 7-6 but didn't tie the game back up until it was set point for Multnomah. The Argos were not about to let the game go to a fifth set as they battled to eventually claim the 30-28 win.
Sydney Andersen led all attackers again with 17 kills, followed by
