Portland, Oreg. - The University of Providence women's soccer team three game winning streak came to an end against Warner Pacific on Saturday, losing 2-1 to the Knights.
After a scoreless first half, Mika Dart found the back of the net in the 52nd minute off the assist from Kendyl Cone. The Knights made it 2-0 two minutes later when Ashley Giesbers found the back of the net from 40 yards out.
Ashlee Howell scored in the 86th minute off the assist from
Shawnae Inama, but it wasn't enough for the Argos.
Providence won the attacking battle, taking 14 shots compared to the Knights seven. Eem McLaughlin led the team with five shots, three of which were on goal.
The Argos will return home on Friday, October 25 when they take on Rocky Mountain College.Â
