Box Score Helena, Mont. - The University of Providence men's soccer team defeated Carroll College today 2-1 in the final game of their regular season.
Seamus Quinn found the back of the net first for the Argos in the 20th minute.
Fernando Gutierrez added on a goal of his own off the assist from Leo Almedia in the 60th minute. Santiago Morizzani scored for Carroll in the 75th minute to keep things interesting, but the Argos managed to prevail.
"We showed a lot of mental toughness to see that game through," head coach
Matt Ball said. "It should have been more comfortable but we don't do things easy."
The Argos (9-5, 11-5-1) have qualified for the 2019 CCC Men's Soccer Championships that will be held Nov. 12,13 and 15 at Willamalane in Springfield, Oregon hosted by Northwest Christian University.
