Argos Cruise Past Bluehawks

Box Score GREAT FALLS, Mont. – The University of Providence women's basketball team got off to a hot start at the Bill Himmelberg Memorial Classic, defeating Dickinson State 83-53.

Parker Esary led the Argos with 18 points and 6 rebounds. Jenna Randich contributed 14 points, 3 rebounds, and 3 assists while Bailey Cartwright added 11 points, 7 rebounds and 3 assists.

"I was really pleased with the energy and effort in the first half," head coach Bill Himmelberg said. "We went really deep into our bench today. Our plan was to get them in. We're going to need those kids. If we get in foul trouble we're going to need to play kids."

Ashlie Larson led the Bluehawks with 10 points. Ashlie Watts, Dakota Dosch and Lindsey Peterson all added 9 for Dickinson State.

Both teams will hit the floor again tomorrow during Day 2 of the Bill Himmelberg Memorial Classic. The Argos will take on Northwest at 12 p.m., while Dickinson State will play Montana State – Northern at 2 p.m.

"We're going to do a walkthrough tonight to go over Northwest's stuff," Himmelberg said. "But we've done our prep. We know the scout. Our kids just need to come out and execute the game plan defensively. We know what we're doing, we've been preparing all week. We're excited to get after it."
