"Sacha had a great week last week with 40 plus digs in each match," head coach Arunas Duda said. "Sacha has been an outside hitter for our team and switched from middle back defense to left back, and that is not an easy transition. I also felt it was impressive on how she took over in Kelsey's (Kelsey Shaver) absence. We need to give Sacha a lot of credit for stepping up her game."
Duda was asked what does this award mean for his team he responded, "I think it helps all around, getting our name out there and representing the university in a positive way. It's big for Sacha as she sees she can play at high level. As we start wrapping up the regular season, it's good to see her, and our team, play at a high level and make a run in the Frontier Conference tournament."
The University Providence volleyball team (3-1,19-6) is third in the conference behind Lewis-Clark State, (8-2, 20-8) and Montana Tech, (7-3, 22-6).
The Frontier Conference tournament will be hosted by the University of Providence in Great Falls at the McLaughlin Center November 15-16, 2019.
