University of Providence Volleyball Still in Top 20 Polls

Wally Feldt, Frontier Conference

KANSAS CITY, Mo. - In the latest edition of the 2019 NAIA Volleyball Coaches Top 25 poll, Montana Tech moved up, Providence drops a spot, Lewis-Clark State move in and Rocky Mountain College falls out.

A seven-match winning streak has propelled Lewis-Clark State (8-2, 20-8) into first place in the conference standings and into the No. 24 position of the coaches' poll.

Montana Tech (7-3, 22-6) is in a second place tie in the conference standings with Providence (7-3, 19-6) and Rocky Mountain (7-3, 17-11).

Tech and UP were tied for 18th in the last poll. In the current edition, the Orediggers moved from 18th to 17th while the Argos fell from 18th to 19th.

Rocky fell victim to the injury bug and lost three of their last four matches which dropped the Battlin' Bears out of the top 25 and into the receiving votes category.

The University of Providence will be hosting the Frontier Conference Tournament November 15-16, 2019 at the McLaughlin Center this year.
