Argos Fall to Oregon Tech

Box Score Klamath Falls, Ore. – The University of Providence women's soccer team fell to Oregon Tech 3-1 Friday afternoon.

The Owls (1-0-1, 4-2-2) were the first to get on the board when Amanda Seward scored in the 24th minute off the assist from Salyna Blue. But their lead was short-lived when Eme McLaughlin responded moments later in the 30th minute with her 11th goal of the season.

The Owls pulled away in the second half. Blue scored in the 51st minute, and then assisted Amanda Seward again in the 65th minute.

"I thought we competed in the first half," head coach Brian Clarke said. "It was nice to see us equalize after going down 1-0. We struggled a bit to start the second half and Oregon Tech capitalized on a few mistakes. After that we couldn't find our rhytmn and the rest is history. There were a lot of good things that happened throughout and we need to learn from them and fix the mistakes moving forward."

The Argos (1-1, 2-5) attempted four shots on goal, two of which were on target. Dakota Neumann recorded seven saves.

The Argos must rebound quickly, as they play Sunday against Southern Oregon at 11 a.m.
