Argo Women's Soccer Officially Announces 2020-21 Schedule

GREAT FALLS, Mont. – The University of Providence women's soccer program announced their official schedule for the 2020-21 season.

The Argos will kick off their season on Feb. 14 on the road against Northwest University. They will play their first home game on Feb. 11 against Oregon Tech.

"It is exciting to have something concrete in these times of uncertainty," head coach Brian Clarke said. "We're really excited to get the team together and get this season rolling."

The Cascade Collegiate Conference made the decision in July to move all fall seasons to the spring. The only change to the schedule are the dates; the schedule is the same one that the conference was planning to release this fall. By the time the Argos take the field in Feb., it will be 15 months since they last played a game. Clarke is preparing his team to be prepared for anything as the unique season approaches.

"There are still a lot of variables to account for and many of them are unpredictable at this point," he said. "We have to make the best of our unique situation and take it day by day."

The CCC Tournament will take place from April 7-10. The top eight seeds from the conference will qualify for the tournament. The NAIA National Championship will begin April 27 in Foley, Ala.

The Argos return nine starters from last year's 5-11 team. They finished as a 9th seed in the conference, one position short of making the CCC Tournament.
