KANSAS CITY, Mo. – A day after winning the Frontier Conference Championship, the University of Providence women's basketball team was awarded the #6 seed in the NAIA Division I National Championship.
The Argos (21-12, 19-9) will play #3 Freed-Hardeman in the first round of the Tournament.
Five Frontier Conference teams qualified for the Tournament. Carroll and Montana Western are the highest Frontier Conference seeds in the field as 5 seeds. Providence is the lone 6 seed, while Lewis-Clark State and Rocky Mountain are 7 seeds.
The first round will kick off March 18 in Billings, Mont. Game times are still being determined.
