Argos Prepare for Semifinal Matchup Against Fighting Saints

GREAT FALLS, Mont. – The University of Providence men's basketball team will take on Carroll College in Helena Friday night at 7 p.m. in a Frontier Conference Tournament semifinal matchup.

The Argos (24-7) have played the Fighting Saints (23-8) three times this season, losing two of the games. The home team has won in all three matchups.

"We have to try to make some small adjustments," head coach Steve Keller said. "We're not going to change what we do much. The biggest thing is every time we've played there we've turned the ball over way too much. We have to eliminate those turnovers and take care of the basketball."

Carroll comes into the game on a four-game winning streak. Their last win was a 89-73 win over Rocky Mountain on Tuesday in the first round of the Frontier Conference Tournament.

The Argos are coming off a dominant 95-62 win over Montana Western on Tuesday. The Argos got the job done with a balanced scoring attack with five guys scoring in double-figures. Keller hopes to replicate that performance on Friday.

"We need to be balanced like we were the other night and have five or six guys in double figures," Keller said. "That's what we're going to work on. Carroll is playing well so it'll be a challenge."

The winner of the game will advance to the Frontier Conference Championship on Monday at 7 p.m. at the home gym of the highest remaining seed.
