GREAT FALLS, Mont. – The University of Providence women's basketball looks to carry their recent momentum into their semifinal matchup against Carroll College in Helena on Saturday at 7 p.m.
The Argos have won six of their last eight games, including a 62-50
victory over Rocky Mountain in the first round of the Frontier Conference Playoffs.
"The Rocky game was big" head coach
Bill Himmelberg said. "It gives us confidence to be able to get the job done in a hostile environment on the road. From here on out we're going to be in a situation where we're on the road and it's a tough situation. The Rocky game proved we're able to take care of business. Our girls feel confident that they can play with anybody."
Over the course of the season, the Argos have beaten every team in the Frontier Conference except for the Fighting Saints.
"We have to do a better job on the boards," Himmelberg said. "They've beaten us on the boards the last couple of times. Rebounding is going to key for us. We have to care of the ball and execute offensively a little better than we have in the past against them."
