GREAT FALLS, Mont. –
Ben Kaul of the University of Providence golf team was named 1
st Team All-Conference, the Frontier Conference announced Wednesday afternoon.
Kaul, a sophomore from Great Falls, Mont., had a successful season. He placed in the Top 5 in the scoring average in all three conference events, including a 2nd place finish at the Warrior Fall Invite.
"I'm very proud of Ben receiving this award," head coach
Spencer Williams said. "He is the prime example of hard work paying off. No one practices harder than him. Ben played very solid all season and it's unfortunate he didn't have a chance to compete for the conference championship this year."
Keaton Sunchild was also named a Champion of Character by the conference.
"Keaton is a class act," Williams said. "As a coach I couldn't ask for a better student athlete. He works hard both on and off the golf course. If another player or I need any help, he is always the first to volunteer."
On the women's side,
Cat Babinecz was named a Champion of Character.
"Cat has come to be a great asset to the team," Williams said. "As a senior, she served as captain and was always willing to help. Her positive attitude has made a great impact on the team and will be followed by fellow Argos for years to come."
