WHITEFISH, Mont. – The University of Providence had four golfers named to the Academic All-Conference team, the Frontier Conference announced Friday afternoon.
On the women's side,
Casey Babinecz and
Cat Babinecz were named to the team. Casey is majoring in biology while Cat is studying business administration. Both are seniors and plan to graduate this year.
Ben Kaul and
Keaton Sunchild were named to the men's team. Kaul is an accounting and business administration major while Sunchild is majoring in sociology. The pair are both sophomores.
"I'm extremely pleased to see these four student-athletes excel in the classroom," head coach
Spencer Williams said. "We have a rule that academics come first. These awards solidify our rule and I'm very proud of all of them for living up to that standard."
To be eligible for the academic all-conference team, a student-athlete must be at least sophomore, maintain a 3.0 GPA and be enrolled at the school the previous two semesters.
