BILLINGS, Mont. – The University of Providence men's golf team is in fourth place after the first two rounds of the Battlin' Bears Invite on Monday.
The Argos have a team score of 585 (+17), ten strokes behind Rocky Mountain's B team (+7). The top Battlin' Bears team is leading the pack at 559 (-9), followed by Montana Tech who is right at par at 568 (E). The Argos are 24 strokes ahead of Carroll College (+41) and 101 strokes ahead of MSU-Northern.
Colton Stodghill is leading the way for the squad, shooting one under on the day to end up in seventh place. He is seven strokes behind the leader, Haydn Driver of Montana Tech (-8). After shooting one under in the first round,
Ben Kaul shot a 75 to end up three over, placing him at tied for 11
th.
Connor Mora ended up tied for 14
th at five over.
On the women's side,
Kielar Jones shot an 86 (+15) to end up in 13
th place.
Kate Murack had a solid outing, shooting a 92 (+21) to find herself in 18
th place.
M'Kenzie Whiteman shot a 106 (+35) to end up in 25
th place. The women do not have enough eligible players to earn a team score.
The final round will begin tomorrow at 9:00 a.m.
