Four Argo Golfers Named Academic All-Conference

GREAT FALLS, Mont. – Four members of the University of Providence golf team were named Academic All-Conference, the Frontier Conference announced on Thursday.

Kielar Jones (criminal justice) qualified on the women's side, while Ben Kaul (business administration), Connor Mora (business administration) and Keaton Sunchild (sociology) qualified on the men's side. To be eligible for the team, a student-athlete must be at least a sophomore in standing and maintain a 3.25 GPA.

"I'm very pleased," head coach Spencer Williams said. "It just shows that they work hard on the golf course and in the classroom. The classroom comes first. It's something that we talk about on a daily basis. I'm very proud of them."

The academic success the students show is a demonstrator of the type of people they are, Williams said.

"Those four set the standard for our program," Williams said. "It means all their hard work is paying off. Being a student-athlete isn't easy, especially this year, and they navigated it well. They're good kids."
