LAUREL, Mont. – The University of Providence men's golf team finished sixth at the Beartooth Invitational on Tuesday.
The Argos improved their score by 13 strokes in the second round, shooting a 315 on the day. The team finished with a total score of 643 (+67), 33 strokes behind Montana State-Billings, who finished tied for fourth. Rocky Mountain College won the event with a 591, followed by Montana Tech (605) and South Dakota School of Mines (607).
Ben Kaul improved by two strokes in the second round with a score of 75. Kaul finished with a 152 (+8) to finish tied for 10
th.
Connor Mora shot a 76, a five-stroke improvement from the first round, to end up with 157, tied for 20
th.
Colton Stodghill also improved, shooting a 79, seven strokes lower than his score yesterday. He ended up tied for 33
rd with a 165 (+21).
Josh Warp ended up in 38
th with a 174 (+30) and
Trenton Olson finished 39
th with a 180 (+36).
The team will return to Billings next Monday at the Battlin' Bears Invite.
