GREAT FALLS, Mont. - Fresh off the first road trip of the season in which they earned a split with a win over Walla Walla (Wash.) and a loss to Lewis-Clark State (Idaho), the University of Providence men head down the interstate to Butte to play Friday and Saturday in the Montana Tech Fall Classic.

The Argos will face Dickinson State (N.D.) Friday before squaring off against L-C State once again Saturday. The Blue Hawks are 1-5 on the season, including losses to Frontier Conference foes Montana-Western, Montana Tech and Carroll College. DSU is averaging 69.5 points per game, led by John Evans who scores 9.8 points per game. Tyce Dahlberg is averaging 9.5 points each game. Defensively, the Blue Hawks allow 73.2 points per game and have lost four straight overall.

L-C State used a big second half to turn a five-point deficit at halftime into an 80-59 win over the Argos a week ago in Lewiston, Idaho. The Warriors are 3-1 overall and were led in last week's win by Silas Bennion who had 18 points and nine rebounds.

Providence (3-1) saw a career game from Jake Olsen with 21 points and 12 rebounds. Head Coach Steve Keller says this is the start of a tough schedule the rest of the year, "We have no more easy games on our schedule. Dickinson State may be the best 1-5 team in the NAIA. They played tight games with Carroll, Tech, and Western. They are well coached by Montana native Derek Selvig. LC State has great size and athleticism and they handled us rather easily at LC. We were exposed on both ends of the floor and we would like to think we cleaned some of those up this week in practice."

Tipoff Friday against Dickinson State is 3 PM with Saturday's game starting at 1 PM. Watch both games online at www.upargos.com.
