Great Falls, Mont. - The 2022 cross country season begins in earnest Monday for the University of Providence. The Argos will travel to the Frontier Conference Preview to be held in Helena. Providence is looking to a corps group of returnees along with a fresh batch of newcomers to make some noise in the Frontier. On the men's side, a plethora of hometown kids will get a chance to shine for Head Coach Tony Arntson, including Sophomores Jon Johanson and Cairan Molloy along with freshman Christian Buhler. In addition, Craig Patera, who will split between golf and cross country will bring added leadership.

Arntson says he can't wait to kick off the season, "Very excited to watch all the new faces in our program run. Obviously, we want to see how conditioning is at this point as we begin to work for a great year. I cannot wait to watch them all compete.

On the women's side, senior Angie Sletten returns and will be joined by a young roster. Five freshmen, one sophomore and junior Olivia Nygreen will join Sletten with the Argos. Providence will travel to Helena Monday, before heading to Bozeman for the MSU Invite on Saturday. For everything Argos, visit www.upargos.com.
