Great Falls, Mont. - Cooler weather in Montana must mean it is time for the college golf season to begin. The University of Providence will tee it up Monday at the MSU-Northern Invite looking to get a jump start on a Frontier Conference championship. The Argo women will start the season with four returning golfers, Kielar Jones, Eve Knox, Kate Murack, and M'Kenzie Whiteman all positioned to make a run at individual crowns. Jones, the senior from Capital High in Helena is the veteran of the group and will try to lead by example on the course.
On the men's side, Connor Mora a junior from Great Falls High, and fellow Bison Trenton Olson will lead the team in the first meet of the season. Head Coach Spencer Williams says Jones and Mora are looking to go low and get into the top 10, "I am looking forward to a strong season. Both teams are eager to get started. We have seniors Kielar Jones and Connor Mora that I am expecting to place in the top 10."
The Argos will play Monday and Tuesday at Havre in a good early season test against Frontier opponents. For more on Providence golf, visit www.upargos.com.
