Great Falls, Mont. - The University of Providence golf teams head south along the I-15 to compete in the Carroll College Invite Monday and Tuesday at Helena. The Saints are coming off respective performances in the first tourney of the year, last week at Shelby. The individuals now have marks to shoot for led by Connor Mora who finished in the top 10 after a final round 80 left him just 10 shots back of the winner. The ladies are led by Kielar Jones who finished 18th in the season-opening golf tournament.

Head golf coach Spencer Williams says he expects both to continue to improve, "I am looking for Connor to squeeze into a top five finish. Kielar is playing her home course and should be a top 10 finisher."

The conditions in Helena will be great Monday with a high of 76 expected, while Tuesday cools off to around 56 degrees. With the heat and smoke not playing a factor as last week, Williams says the teams are ready to go, "The teams have been working hard to improve and are all looking forward to the second Frontier Conference event."

When asked who else he is looking for to go low, Williams responded that there is one guy he is ready to see have a good tourney, "Trey Sharp could step it up and get into a top 10 finish as well."

The tournament will be held Monday and Tuesday at Bill Roberts Golf Course, a par-72 course in the Capital City. For live scoring, visit www.upargos.com.
