Great Falls, Mont. - Reilly Wilson won medalist honors and the University of Providence women's cross-country team easily outpaced MSU-Northern in a dual meet Friday in the Electric City. Wilson, a freshman from Gillette, Wyo., crossed the finish line in 22:18.43, six seconds ahead of teammate MeKenzie Clark. The Argos claimed the top three spots with Olivia Nygreen taking third. Skylight Brooke Holland ran unaffiliated to lead MSU-Northern with a time of 24:27.98.

For Wilson, winning her first collegiate meet was fun, "I felt strong for the most part on the hills. There was a second to last one I thought I was not going to make it up, but I pushed through. It was good. I went back and forth with my teammate (Clark) pulled her up on the uphill, she pulled me on the downhills. It was a great meet; it did not feel the best, but I definitely enjoyed it. Hills are really my favorite in races, and I finished strong." Emily Crago was fifth, Isabella Lane sixth for the Argos.

On the men's side, Coen Haroldson, running unaffiliated took top honors in 28:22.36 with MSU-Northern's Field Soosloff taking second in 29:13.28. Nash Grafe placed third for Providence finishing with a time of 30:29.19. Fellow Argo Ciaran Molloy came in fourth. Jon Johansen placed seventh, Noah Aparicio eighth and Christian Buhler 12th.

Head Coach Tony Arntson says it was good preparation on a tough course to get ready for the Frontier Preview Tuesday, "The women I thought did a great job. Ciaran got himself off course a little and had to run an extra 300 yards, but they all ran great. I am really happy with where we are at now."

The Frontier Conference Preview will run in Helena Tuesday after being postponed due to smoke earlier this month. For everything Providence Athletics, visit www.upargos.com.
