Great Falls, Mont. - Number 20 Montana Tech jumped out to two sets to zero lead and held on to defeat the University of Providence 3-1 in the Frontier Conference volleyball opener for both teams Friday night in Great Falls.  The Orediggers won the first set 25-14 before a 25-16 win in the second set. The Argos battled back to take set three 25-22 before MT Tech pulled away for a 25-16 win in the fourth.  

Providence falls to 7-12 overall, 0-1 in the Frontier while Tech sits 13-6 on the season, 1-0 in league play. Stats were unofficial at the time.
