GREAT FALLS, Mont. -- The University of Providence women's basketball program hosts #9 Vanguard University on Nov. 17 and Stephens College on Nov. 18. Both games will tip-off at 5 p.m. in the McLaughlin Center.

Head coach Bill Himmelberg on this weekend's matchups stated, "We are excited to be back home and playing in front of our home crowd. We have some high-quality opponents coming in this week so we will have to execute well to be successful."

Last Time Out
The Argos went 2-0 at the Cumberland Classic defeating Lindsey Wilson College 72-61 and defeating Cumberland University 61-58 in overtime. In the victory over Lindsey Wilson, freshman Keanna Salave'a tallied 28 rebounds which set a new program record for the most rebounds in a single game.  

Season Leaders
Graduate transfer Ashlee Maldonado is the Argos leading scorer and assist getter so far this season averaging 18.8pts and 5ast per game. Salave'a has the most rebounds with 13.2 per game, and she is also second on the team in points averaging 16.4. Defensively, senior Kolby Pimperton leads the Argos averaging 2.6 steals per game.

#9 Vanguard University
Vanguard was ranked #9 in the latest NAIA coach's poll after starting the season 1-0 and defeating Bethesda University 115-58.  UP is 0-3 in their history against the Lions falling in the most recent matchup 70-63 in Great Falls.

RV Stephens College
The Stars are 4-0 so far this season and are coming off an 80-74 victory over Baptist Bible College. This will be the first matchup in program history between UP and Stephens.
