GREAT FALLS, Mont. -- The University of Providence men's basketball program heads to Chandler, Ariz. for the Cactus Classic from Dec. 16-19. Argos will face Marian University on Dec. 16, #10 Arizona Christian University on Dec. 18, and Ottawa University Arizona on Dec. 19. All games will tip off at the Coyote Center.

Last Time Out
The Argos stormed past Alberta-Augustana defeating the Vikings 102-41. UP started the second half on a 35-1 run to put the game out of reach. Senior Davien Harris-Williams led the way for the Argos with 18 pts on 8-9 shooting and senior Freddy Brown III added 17 points going 7-9 from the field as well.

Season Leaders
Harris-Williams is the Argos leading scorer and assist getter thus far, averaging 18.9pts and 4.1ast per game. Defensively, senior Jake Olsen and junior Jamil Bowles each average a team high 6.7 rebounds and Bowles averages 1.1 steals per game.

Marian University
This will be the second meeting in program history between the Argos and the Knights with UP winning the lone matchup in 2019. Marian University is 8-2 so far this season and are coming off a 76-65 victory over the University of St. Francis their last time out.   
 
Arizona Christian University
Arizona Christian was ranked #10 in the latest NAIA coaches poll. The Firestorm are 7-2 so far this season and are coming off a 76-65 loss to Multnomah their last time out. This is the third meeting between UP and ACU at the Cactus Classic with the Firestorm winning the most recent matchup 86-68 in 2022.

Ottawa University Arizona
This will be the third matchup in program history between Ottawa University and the Argos with OUAZ winning the first matchup in 2018, and UP winning the most recent contest in 2022. The Spirit are 6-3 so far this season and are coming off a 92-90 loss to Multnomah their last time out.
