PRESCOTT, Ariz. – The University of Providence men's soccer suffered a 6-0 loss to Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University Saturday night.
The Eagles (1-0) struck first in the 27th minute with a goal from Lucas Garcia to take the 1-0 lead over the Argos (0-2).
UP could not stop the Eagles onslaught in the first half as ERAU added another two goals by Paul Fulop to increase their lead to three going into the break.
A back and forth second half led to the Eagles adding another in the 66th and 81st minute to extend their lead to five. Lucas Garcia had three assists to go along with his lone goal.
The Argos return to action Aug. 25 when they meet Ave Maria University in Billings Mont. The first touch is scheduled for 4:00 p.m. (MST).
