GREAT FALLS, Mont. -- The University of Providence men's soccer program travels to Billings Mont. on Friday, Aug. 25 for their matchup with Ave Maria University at 4:00 p.m.
Last Time Out
The Argos suffered a pair of losses on their trip to Arizona after being rained out night one. Freshman
Geovanni Lugo scored the first goal of the season, and the first goal of his career versus Ottawa University Arizona in the season opening 2-1 loss.
Season Leaders
Lugo is the Argos lone goal scorer thus far and is also the team's shot leader with three. In goal, freshman
Thomas Sine leads the team in saves with 10 so far this season.
Ave Maria
This will be the first matchup in program history between the Argos and the Gyrenes. Ave Maria University is yet to play a match this season after their game versus Trinity was cancelled last week. They will open their year by hosting UP in Billings, Mont. Head coach
Will Hander stated, "We are looking forward to getting back on the pitch and putting the things we learned in Arizona to use in our game against Ave Maria."
