GREAT FALLS, MONT. -- The University of Providence volleyball program continues their season with another road trip. On Aug. 25 the Argos will play their first match at the Magic Island Hawai'i Classic at 5:30 p.m. (MST) in Honolulu, Hawai'i. UP will play three total matches at The Shark Tank against Oregon Tech, Truett McConnell University, and Benedictine University at Mesa.
Last Time Out
The Argos rolled through the Big Sky Challenge winning all four of their matchups in Butte, Mont. The Argos did not drop a set in their first two matches and brought their streak up to eight sets in a row before losing the third set against The College of Idaho. UP went on to win in five sets to keep their winning streak alive. Their final game at the Big Sky Challenge was against #10 ranked Southwestern Assemblies of God University. After dropping the first set to the Lions the Argos won the next three sets to increase their match win streak to four.

The Argos spread the ball around in their first four games with juniors
Nina Janjic and
Mady Hoerner having 42 and 41 kills, respectively. 42 kills for Janjic places her 45
th in the NAIA and 41 for Hoerner places her at 48
th. UP also has two setters in the top 50 for assists with junior
Nati Slazynska leading the way with 96 and sophomore
Bella Thompson adding 79 as well. 96 assists places Slazynska at 29
th in the NAIA and Thompson ranks 49
th with 79. Defensively, junior
Taylor Christensen has tallied 71 digs placing her 17
th in the NAIA. Redshirt freshman

Zoe Naugle have 17 and 16 total blocks placing them 14
th and 21
st in the NAIA.
Opponents
Oregon Tech competed at the Raider Invitational where they went 1-3 last week. For UP to be successful they will need to slow down the tandem of Savanna Sterck and Molly Grace who have combined for 100 kills in their first four matches. Kaley Whalen is also sixth in the NAIA with 91 digs.
Truett McConnel University will open their season versus Benedictine University at Mesa the day before battling the Argos.
Benedictine University at Mesa started their season 3-0 after beating Justice College in a double header and Ottawa University Arizona. The Redhawk's have yet to drop a set winning their first nine of the season. Â
